The 40 Days of Purity workbook was actually born out of a challenge to men by Stephen Cervantes and Jonathan Daugherty. At seminar events, Stephen and Jonathan would have men eager to live a new life of purity, but unsure as to how to get started. In order to help these men with useful, practical tools, Jonathan & Stephen developed the 40-day challenge, in which men would commit to spending 40 days focusing on developing skills to live sexually pure lives. In order to give men something tangible to work through, Stephen & Jonathan wrote 40 Days of Purity, a workbook designed to take men through a 40-day journey of insight, encouragement, and challenge. The workbook contains helpful tips and practical insights, as well as a daily devotional designed to help men live every day in sexual thought purity.

Stephen Cervantes is a licensed professional counselor with nearly 20 years experience in dealing with addiction. Since 1998, he has focused on helping men overcome sexual addictions. The majority of men who come to Stephen for counseling have had some struggle with pornography or sexual acting out. Out of compassion for these hurting men, Stephen decided to develop this 40 Days of Purity resource to help set guys free from isolation, shame, and addiction.

Jonathan Daugherty is the director of Be Broken Ministries, an interdenominational non-profit sexual purity ministry. Men contact the ministry every day, many desperate for relief and freedom from years-long addictions. The 40 Days of Purity workbook is an outstanding resource to help men start their journey to purity and wholeness.
