Our desire is to see every man who wants freedom from porn and sex addiction to have access to the help he needs. This is why we established the Gateway to Freedom Scholarship Fund. While we truly wish we could offer the workshop for $20, that is simply unrealistic. We realize this prevents some men from attending simply due to financial restrictions.

If you would like to help allow men who otherwise would not be able to attend a Gateway to Freedom workshop to register, you may donate toward the GTF Scholarship Fund. All donations are tax deductible.

Do you provide full scholarships for men who cannot pay?

No. We never allow anyone to attend a GTF workshop without any financial investment. We believe true recovery requires adopting a mindset of sacrifice, and a very tangible start to such a mindset comes through financial sacrifice (plus, we simply cannot give away the workshop; there are fixed costs required). Therefore, anyone requesting information about our workshop scholarships must demonstrate a true financial need. We wouldn't want the fund to be abused by those simply seeking to skirt paying the registration fee.

How much scholarship money do you have available?

This varies throughout the year based on gifts designated to the fund. Generally speaking, however, there isn't any money left in the account following a workshop, as we try to use that money to assist men who truly have need.

How do you determine who qualifies for a scholarship?

On a case-by-case basis we will evaluate the need of anyone seeking assistance. Generally, this might require an informal query regarding their ability to pay through one of our payment plans. We might also request personal references who could vouch for a true financial need. Upon such evaluation a determination would be made as to what amount of scholarship, if any, would be offered.

We truly do want to see as many men attend the workshop as possible, so we try very hard to accommodate needs as we are able.

Does my donation really go toward the GTF Scholarship Fund?

YES! This is why we designate such gifts as separate from our general donations. When you click on the "Donate" link above (or below), 100% of that donation goes toward helping men who need financial assistance to attend the workshop.
